Community Events to Support Your Climate Journey! 👣

Published 10 months ago • 1 min read

Hi Reader,

Just popping in with a quick note about some opportunities to connect with the other awesome folks in the Crowdsourcing Sustainability community and grow on your climate journey.

Monthly Community Networking Hour

July 11th @ 12pm EDT.

Our first Networking Hour was so fun we’ve decided to make it monthly occurrence! These sessions are a great (and fun!) way to practice your “pitch”, get feedback on your project, get advice on your climate journey, put the word out for particular connections or resources, or just meet other climate peeps.

This event is not recorded - we look forward to seeing you live!

Community Climate Project Lab

July 26th @ 1pm EDT.

Bring your climate project or project idea and workshop it to the next phase with the help of your fellow CS Community members!

This is an opportunity to get into the nitty gritty and break through any blocks and obstacles you’re experiencing in either getting your project off the ground or getting it to the next level.

This 90 minute lab will be split into two sections - facilitated group workshopping of a couple projects and then breakout rooms for peer-coaching/feedback so everyone gets someone else’s eyes on their idea.

To get the most out of this lab we suggest you come with either an active climate project or a solid idea for a project and some clear questions or specific challenges to bring to your peers!

Office Hours every Wednesday!

Get a 30-minute personalized support session with Community Weaver Rachel Taylor, every Wednesday between 12-2pm EDT.

These sessions can provide support with:

  • how you want to contribute to the climate movement
  • eco-anxiety and climate emotions
  • feedback or advice on your climate project
  • how you can participate and get the most out of the CS Community
  • an opportunity for you to provide feedback or suggestions for the CS Community

We hope to connect with you this month!

Take care,

Rachel

Hi Reader, Happy Friday! It's been a while - I hope this note finds you well :) I want to give you two quick updates: I'm writing a book! It will be a climate journey and action guide for people who are nervous, scared, sad, overwhelmed, or pissed off about the planetary emergency and want to do what they can to help solve it. It’s...

Hi Reader,One of the most effective yet overlooked levers that each of us can pull to accelerate climate solutions is being active citizens at the local level. This is where your vote and advocacy have the most weight. It’s the level of government where things can be done the quickest. Local policy and investment decisions have the potential to reduce a significant amount of emissions (e.g. roughly 35% of emissions in California). And perhaps most importantly, it’s where the majority of your...
